Rani Mukherjee and Kajol arrived as guests in the new episode of talk show ‘Koffee with Karan’ season 8. In this episode, the show’s host Karan Johar revealed that Kajol missed out on getting an important role in the film ‘Dil Se’. Kuch Hota Hai is Karan Johar’s first story written and directed film. Kajol and Rani Mukherjee were heroines while Shahrukh Khan came as the hero. The film, based on a love triangle, became one of the biggest hits of the year. The film also won the National Award for Popular Film.

In the talk show, Karan Johar recalled an interesting incident that happened while reading the script of Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol starrer ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’. Karan revealed that while the three of them were reading the script, Kajol left director Mani Ratnam’s phone, thinking it was a prank.
Along with the incident narrated by Karan, Rani also remembered another story. The queen remembered the incident that happened that day while having breakfast. Rani says, ‘Karan stole the plate from my hand saying that you cannot eat it.’ Kajol and all three laugh after listening to the old stories of the stars.
Rani Mukherjee also revealed that there was another incident where Karan ‘killed’ her. But the actress revealed it was a joke and he was actually ‘caressing her lovingly.’ Also, she was shooting a scene with Shahrukh Khan in Film City. The witty actress says that when the scene was not ready, Karan came and pinched her.
Rani Mukherjee and Karan Johar maintain a good friendship inside and outside the films. After Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, he worked in many films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Kham, Kal Ho Na Ho, Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna. Apart from this, he has also appeared in some cameo roles in his films.
