The box office collection of Tiger 3 on Day 3: Salman Khan finally strikes gold, delivering the biggest opening weekend of his career.

Salman Khan’s Tiger 3 set two new records on its third day of release. The action-thriller, part of YRF’s spy universe, after earning over 100 crores in the first two days, added an estimated 43.5 crores to its earnings on Tuesday. According to figures shared by YRF, Tiger 3’s total domestic earnings now stand at 148 crores. This makes it Salman’s 17th film to cross the 100 crore mark and his biggest opening weekend to date.

The film had already made a massive opening on Sunday with 44 crores, aligning with the traditional trend during Diwali holidays. On the second day of release, it showed a significant growth by earning 58 crores. Globally, the film has crossed the 220 crores mark, putting it on track to surpass Tiger’s global earnings of 330 crores a decade ago. In comparison, Tiger Zinda Hai in 2017 earned a whopping 565 crores.

On the third day, Tiger 3 recorded an occupancy rate of 33% in Hindi, while the dubbed Tamil and Telugu versions saw less than 20% occupancy each. In the southern regions of India, the film is not proving as popular as Shahrukh Khan’s two 2023 hits, Pathan and Jawan, both crossing the 1000 crore mark globally, setting a benchmark that Salman is yet to surpass. While Salman Khan has come close to breaking this record, his highest-grossing film worldwide remains Bajrangi Bhaijaan, earning over 900 crores.

After surpassing the milestone of Salman’s lifetime earnings, Tiger 3 aims to surpass the global earnings of Hrithik Roshan’s War, which made 475 crores as posted by YRF.

Directed by Manish Sharma and starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, Tiger 3 is the fifth installment in YRF’s spy film universe, which includes Pathan and War. Shahrukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan made cameo appearances in establishing the future plots. Yudh 2 is currently in production under Ayan Mukherji’s direction, and the film Tiger vs. Pathan has already stirred excitement with director Siddharth Anand at the helm.
